'The Bhopal Enigma' meets Samar S. Jodha and 'Bhopal, A Silent Picture'
at the premises of Amnesty International in London
'The Bhopal Enigma' meets Samar S. Jodha and 'Bhopal, A Silent Picture' at the premises of Amnesty International. A surprise meeting took place between these two sculptures on Sunday the 29th July 2012 soon after the opening of the 2012 Olympics in London. To see this pictures is nothing compared to experiencing the real Art Work and Installation of Samar Jodha. Then to listen to Samar's dulcit tones - it is not just the water the people are drinking or the destroyed lives of so many people - he also asks what contamination the wild life has picked up from this abandoned horror of a site. It is not just the gas escaping as one enters his artwork like a 'train carriage' but once inside this sculpture it is the other sounds and the realisation as to where one is, and that it could have been you on that deadly night in Bhopal. |
