We thought the Olympic Games should have been British whilst in Britain, that is British food and drink. Healthy British food without poisonous chemicals. This Art goes from the quintessential English teapot to a prize carrot or pumpkin.
These athletes are running and swimming on English Teapots, when you can catch them, instead of Greek vases or American food packaging.
Destruction of the Environment
The athletes in these sculptures are sometimes hares or elephants representing some of the species endangered by the example of the Olympic Committees. This is the same attitude that destroys The Environment the world over on a daily basis. The sculpture and paintings worry about the land beneath the euphoria, the stadiums and the rest of the world.
Direct examples are the evictions from the Allotments and Leyton Marshes, also on this website's Tour and Forum
THEN IT ALL WAS ABOUT THE FOOD, THE DRINK AND THE CHEMICALS AT THIS 'GREENEST OF GREEN' OLYMPICS 2012
What a lie. Why did the Olympic Committee and the British Government lie?
August 1013. The Tate Gallery have managed to do their own 'take on Food And Art' .. the Tate Gallery have called their take a 'hangout' .
It might be interesting to compare this with what Vince and Rodulfo did last year during the Olympics; both the artworks and the discussions.

The Tour - 'Race into Time' 2012
Below an article from The Exhibition's Forum
'Race Into Time' Art take on the Olympic Games in London 2012
The Intent of this Touring Exhibition
'Race Into Time' is a response to the presence of the Olympic Games in Britain this year.
Food has become the principal issue because of the promises that Lord Coe made to the world prior to winning the bid to hold the games in London. It is evident from the abundance of government websites both in the UK and the USA that there is a huge amount of knowledge out there as to how to grow food safely and eat healthily. But why don't we do it? And why did all the Olympic contracts go to fast food American Giants?
This was an ideal opportunity for British manufacturers including makers of Cornish Pasties, real Pork Pies etc to bring a more healthy fast food to Britain than the American Hamburger as served up by some outlets.
So even though the Exhibition 'Race Into Time' is opening in London and will return to London on more than one occasion, it will spend these intervening months touring the country as best it can, seeking venues appropriate to its message and its Art. The messages behind 'Race Into Time' are orchestrated by the Campaign for Real Farming. Stimulated by statements made by Lord Sebastian Coe to the effect that we were going to show the world how to eat healthily. And by definition that means, how to grow our food healthily.
Whilst it is going to take a long time for farmers to improve, an immediate alternative way to achieve this is to have your own allotment. The Olympics got off to a bad start by evicting all the allotment holders from their allotments, in the same tradition of many councils around the country.
The Exhibition started its Tour of England at The Gallery in Cork Street,
38 Cork Street, Mayfair, London W1S 3NG
A fun and thought provoking exhibition. From the joy of athletics and competition to the food that the spectators will be eating.
This was a most exciting exhibition. Its started its tour from The Gallery in Mayfair London. There was a Forum, a programme of speakers talking about the issues surrounding the Olympics amid the sculptures and paintings.
Unique
In the lead up to the Olympics, the British Press, Charities and Campaigners were talking about the issues surrounding the Olympics. It is some of these issues which have influenced the artists.
'Race Into Time' invited the Campaigners to come to the Gallery Exhibition of Art and speak there to the public.
Thence 'Race Into Time' goes on tour to parts of England and slowly the connections between the Art and the Issues become apparent.
Peter Rodulfo has created many inspirational paintings during this year of the Olympic Games. A quizzical approach to the arrival of these Games. Includes a number of ordinary would-be athletes, the history of Mr Punch and the relationships between people and their vegetables.

Stephen Vince as ever is concerned that the animals of this world are being left out and forgotten. His animals are joining in. The elephant is one of his favourites, loved all over the world. The hare is running for England and Great Britain despite its own demise. These animals have to adapt to survive and to win their race. The Bird has just joined in, but maybe just to watch or hide. The Ring of Spades is a response to the debate on the food people are going to eat at the olympics, and something more far reaching - watch the Charity page.

Race into Time.
The exhibition is entitled 'Race into Time'. In fact the collection of artworks are all concerned with the race for time and the essence of time itself.
After the joy of running, jumping and competing we wondered - in what direction is humanity is racing. Where will it end up.
The Charities may say that it is a 'race against time'. It is Time that is running out.
British Pride at the 2012 Olympics
London and England and Great Britain are on the world stage this year, the year 2012, because Britain is (or should one say London is) host to the Olympics.
We all agree with the Olympic Committee that we are setting an example to the world as to how things should BE.
1. We want to show the world that we know how to produce good food that is healthy, while at the same time taking care of Nature herself.
2. It seems that the allotment holders were evicted from what is now the Olympic site yet have now been given new sites. One issue here is - is food eaten direct from ones garden better than preserved fresh food and if so why.
3. We read in the press about the victims of Bhopal in India and Agent Orange in Vietnam.
It is the above facts that have come to light through listening to and reading news coverage of the Olympics that has caused Peter and myself to also produce some of the other paintings and sculptures that you can see on this website and at the Exhibition in Cork Street. We do not know whether these facts are true. We trust that what we read in journals and newspapers and hear on the BBC and Sky News is true. We paint and sculpt 'Our Time' based on facts that are ever changing.
